House Parties Rule!

Want to have a house party? Want to invite all your close friends? Want to have someone to deliver all the party supplies to your front door? But, make sure you take pictures and video and post them on a website? Ok, maybe it isn’t totally what you are thinking. There may not be keg stands and togas, but still one heck of a party. I would consider this a consumer party. Head over to House Party, sign up, fill out your profile, and apply for parties that interest you. From Glade parties, to Budweiser, Dole salads, and Pull-Ups they have a wide range of things to choose from. If you are accepted they just want guests to have fun, take some photos, a little video clip maybe, and they supply a ton of stuff. I applied for the Pull-Ups party! Yes, this nerd is crossing her fingers!

Couponing 101-Organization Pt 2

I was discussing with our reader Kim, which way to organize coupons is the best, to be honest my answer is any which way that works for you! I will tell you 2 methods, I have tried both, and the pros and cons.

Method 1- Dating inserts, not clipping them until you need them, and only bringing the ones to the store that follow your pre-planned shopping trip. I like this method for the reason being I am not spending hours clipping and organizing each week. It also helps when using coupon databases The databases have in detail where your coupon came from and the date it was issued. The con would be missing out on unadvertised deals at the store, because my coupons are at home.

Method 2- Buying a binder and carrying your coupons everytime you go shopping. What I did was bought a binder, page dividers, to put your coupons into categories, and a bunch of 9 pocket baseball card holders and every Sunday I would go through my binder replace the expired ones with new ones. It was great because it was hands on if I needed them but it became quite tedious to be honest. And when I didn’t have time I would just throw all my coupons into my “coupon bag” which made for a very impatient boyfriend while I proclaimed “I know I saw that somewhere.”
Like I said, which ever works the best for you.
