Saving Rurally in Minnesota

Many people think that you can’t save in a small town grocery store. Want to make a bet, in my recent trip I may have spent 118 but I saved 47! Now don’t tell me that doesn’t sound like savings!

Today I would like to highlight the grocery stores in this area:

Glenn’s Super Valu- I subscribe to the local paper so there is a weekly ad, but now you can get it FREE online as well here! They also have extra coupons which I believe come out quarterly. They do not accept printable coupons. Doubles coupons up to .49.

Howard Lake Foods- Is also a weekly ad which appears in the paper. They also have coupons online at magnifythesavings.com which goes hand and hand with their circular. They do accept printables and double up to .49!

Coborns- Coborns has a weekly ad, you may also find it online here, along with printable coupons. Sign up in store for Penny Pinchers and they will mail you coupons. If you have a baby they also have BABY BUCKS for every 150 you spend they give you a gift card for 10. They do accept printable coupons. Does run double coupon specials, but have to pay attention to when and how much can vary.

Cash Wise- Again, they have a weekly ad found here! They also have truckload buys which used to be 3 to 4 weeks of savings, but the ad we received yesterday they expire March 31st, which is a long time away. I would also sign up with them online and receive 8 weeks of coupons the beginning of summer sent to you! They also have BABY BUCKS, as they are owned by the same company. They do accept printable coupons.

For coupon policies check online as well as asking a store manager.
